Cookbook

Hello Friends!

The day has arrived...

I have had so much love and support with this book, it has been inspiring and my heart is filled with gratitude. Thank you!

Here is a little background story of how this cookbook came to be:

I love food! That is no surprise. But it is so much more. Through my journey, I have always been intrigued with what is the bigger picture and why does it matter what we eat or how we eat. There are some that say, "eat this" or "this diet is the one" or "don't do___". So which one is right? All the 'noise' about health and how we need to live and if you don't do something then it will cause 'this' or 'that'.

But we are all different. No two finger prints are the same. Which made me think about how we eat.

It started with love. I fell in love with food and I wanted to share it with others. Have you ever had a meal that was made for you and it just tasted heavenly? Like it was perfectly designed for you? So there had to be more to food than just simply eating it.

And I learned more about prayer. Prayer and Love reach the cosmos and beyond. It is a power that I cannot fully describe or yet understand. But I do know that prayer and love are real and remarkable change can happen when we involve both.

With Prayer and Love my questions started to be answered. In fact I didn't have questions any more. I began to trust and believe. And that is what my cookbook talks about.

My hope is that this book finds those who need it. Not every book is for everyone. Maybe even a paragraph or one recipe is all you need. And if there is any human error on my part, please forgive me. I am not a professional, but someone who completely loves, believes and trusts in good things.

There were many days in making this cookbook that brought me to tears and to my knees. I cannot begin to tell you how much this book has taught me and changed my life for the better. Most importantly, it has taught me that God loves me and He loves YOU!

From encouragement from my friends and nudging from the spirit, this cookbook has come to be. It is remarkable and beautiful how things have fallen into place while creating Sanctified & Purified.

Thank you again,
With Loves,

Emotion & Addiction

We all know eating can be both Emotional & Addicting.

Let's ponder for a moment...

While we ponder, notice how you feel. What thoughts come into your mind. Write them down. See what revelations and truth you are getting for yourself. Because this is about YOU. I am not here to tell anyone what to do. Let the Spirit be the guide. :)

We know that education and information is wisdom. When we put that wisdom into action-our lives can change and our bodies can heal.

There are multiple reasons and ties that can be connected to us emotionally with the choices we make, including what we put in our mouth. Both positive and not.

So let's put on our detective hats and find the reasons why we do the things we do, so that action can come forth and change can begin. And may I suggest, start with a prayer and turn to the Lord in ALL things.

And remember, all things that are good and feel accordingly come from God.

Food is Healing...One Bite at a Time

I recently had the privilege of speaking at a Christ-Centered Healing Conference about how Food is Healing.

What we put in and on our bodies is one of the most intimate things we can do for ourselves each day. Because we are children of God made after our divine creator we are told to keep our bodies as temples. 1 Cor 3:16-17

Ultimate Health: God's Gift and Our Personal Responsibility

Love this article!

2. Social Support and Relationships

3. Marriage and Families

4. Altruism-Serving Others

5. Healthy Life Perception

6. Humor and Laughter

7. Hope

8. Spirituality

9. Forgiveness

10. Prayer

Here are a few quotes from the article:

Faith has been shown to influence microbes, plants, animals, and human beings, even from a distance.

To know who we are and why we are here is essential to good health. Goethe declared: “The greatest evil that can befall man is that he should come to think ill of himself.” Marianne Williamson reminds us who we are in a quote from her classic book A Return to Love:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. [Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles (New York: HarperPerennial, 1996), chapter 7, section 3, 190–91]

Health is a very broad term involved in every dimension of our lives. Dr. Edward Taub says:
Wellness is the dance of life that celebrates infinite and eternal harmony. It is the dynamic activity of caring for your body as the home for your soul; theenriching quality of striving to fulfill your highest potential; and the elevating state of filling your life with love. To achieve wellness is to attain the point of balance where the energies of body, mind, and spirit are so finely attuned to each other that distinctions between them fade away. [Seven Steps to Self-Healing(New York: DK Publishing, 1996), 24; emphasis in original]
